This retrofit acrylic base plate is a simple yet highly effective upgrade for compact routers, replacing the factory base plate to deliver improved stability, accuracy and usability. The 6" wide platform provides a broader surface to register against your workpiece, giving you greater control when routing freehand and more reliable tracking along fences or templates.

Manufactured from 1/4" thick clear acrylic, the plate offers excellent rigidity while maintaining full visibility of the cutting area. A flat reference edge ensures consistent registration against guides, making precision routing easier and more predictable.

This base plate is also an essential component for use with the Veritas Table for Compact Routers, acting as the interface between the router and the tabletop. Versions are available with predrilled mounting holes to suit many popular compact router models, while a blank version is supplied with a centring guide and instructions for custom drilling.
